Glamorous Theme Documentation

A complete reference for every section, block, and setting in the Glamorous Shopify theme, built for beauty and cosmetics storefronts. Use the sidebar to jump to any part of the theme editor.

Sections, blocks and theme settings

Everything you customize lives in one of three places inside Online Store → Themes → Customize.

Sections: the building blocks of a page, such as a hero banner, a product grid, or a footer. Add, remove, and reorder them from the "Add section" button in the left panel. Each section has its own settings panel on the right.
Blocks: smaller repeatable pieces nested inside a section, such as a single FAQ question, a single testimonial, or a single nav category card. Most sections that hold a list of things use blocks, so you can add, remove, reorder, and duplicate individual items.
Theme settings: the gear icon at the top of the editor. These apply site-wide: logo, fonts, color schemes, button style, cart behavior, and more. Individual sections then refer to these, for example a section's "Color scheme" picker chooses one of the palettes you defined in Theme settings → Colors.

Color schemes

Rather than picking colors one by one on every section, this theme uses reusable color schemes: named palettes (background, text, button colors, borders, links) defined once in Theme settings → Colors. Every section's "Color scheme" dropdown picks one of these palettes, so changing a scheme's colors updates every section that uses it at once.

Desktop vs mobile

Most spacing and media settings have a separate value for desktop and mobile. Set them on each device separately, since a value that looks right on a wide screen can be too large on a phone. Mobile padding and margin values have their own ranges, shown in the Common section settings below.

Header & navigation

The header holds the logo, the main menu, search, and the cart icon. It also controls how the header behaves over the page content and when it sticks to the top of the screen.

Header: logo, main menu, popular categories, predictive search, and cart icon. Transparent header can be turned on for each page type (collection list, collection, product, product thumbnail view, bundle, contact, and about us). Sticky header can be set to None, On scroll up, or Always. The mega menu holds category cards (max 9) and promo slides.
Announcement bar: rotating messages above the header. Each message can have an optional icon and link.
Mobile bottom nav: a fixed navigation bar at the bottom of the screen on phones.
Cart drawer: the slide-out cart that opens from the header cart icon. It has no settings of its own and uses the Cart settings in Theme settings.
